WHAT INSPIRES YOU TO WORK WITHIN A WOMEN-LED SPACE?

Being a professional hairstylist. Hair is so very personal to a woman. It is my crowning glory, there is something I just love about making a woman look and also ooze confidence and feel gorgeous after sitting in my chair after a luxury hair experience. It creates her persona, her confidence, and an image of how a woman feels about herself. I have always loved my career in hair, and ever rewarding to grow the younger/future generation of young talent and give women an opportunity to think the world is their oyster. It’s just up to them to reach for the stars.

 

HOW DO YOU ENVISION THE FUTURE OF WOMEN-LED BUSINESSES FOR THE NEXT GENERATION TO COME? 

Interesting question, I really admire women who lead with these core values - Honesty and integrity. In business as a woman, I think it’s very important to lead with this, Be inspired by and don’t copy as people see through it. Spend time on your WHY and how you are different, be authentic and I think success is built! I see the growth for women has been huge in business over the last 10 years, Women have come so far in bringing the ‘BOSS BABE’ generation that we see currently.  I think the most important thing coming into some areas which were ‘masculine’ held spaces is to do it your way, have your own ideas, trust yourself and always keep mindfulness a big part of what you do. A woman can do anything a man can do maybe even better! Just need to work hard to get results.

 

WHAT SPARKS PASSION IN LIFE FOR YOU?

I'm all about the YOLO in life especially after just hitting the age of 40 and opening Allure at the ripe age of 23 years of age. It has been many many years of blood, sweat and tears to carry ‘Allure’ the brand to now something I’m so very proud to say I created and may provide influence to others in this space. So now it's all about me now finding balance and giving back to myself, which inspires me. I Live today, not sure what comes at me tomorrow, most of my close friends would know this about me, I live with energy and try to bring it and lead with my spirit. I'm all about  experiences and travel and how they make you feel that really really inspires me.
